David Keys

Hello, and welcome to Today Has Purpose. I’m David Keys, and I founded this practice in order to provide comprehensive, high-quality clinical psychotherapy to Pittsburgh, and surrounding areas. I believe that therapy should be inclusive, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I have worked extensively with diverse populations across a range of clinical settings. My approach integrates several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Psychodynamic oriented approaches such as Attachment Theory. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and hold the distinction of being an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, recognized internationally as the gold standard in EMDR training and certification.

I am honored to hold the Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD), a distinction awarded by the American Board of Clinical Social Work to recognize advanced clinical skill, ethical integrity, and dedication to the highest standards of care. This credential reflects not only years of experience and training, but also a deep commitment to the people I serve. At Today Has Purpose, it is a privilege to walk alongside individuals in their healing and growth, and this certification reinforces my ongoing dedication to that work.

In addition to my clinical background, I earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Robert Morris University, which enhances my ability to think systemically and support clients navigating professional or organizational challenges. I am currently pursuing advanced training in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory through various psychoanalytic communities and am completing a Certification in Organizational Dynamics, Leadership, and Consulting at the Institute for Modern Psychoanalysis in Philadelphia (formerly the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis).

At Today Has Purpose, our team brings together decades of combined clinical experience. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where every client feels seen, heard, and supported. Whether you are returning to therapy or seeking support for the first time, we welcome you. Our mission is to help you reconnect with your values, realize your potential, and approach each day with renewed purpose.

Jess Keys

Jess Keys | LPC, M.Ed., NCC, M.A

Hello, my name is Jess Keys, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an M.Ed. from California University of Pennsylvania. My practice is rooted in the belief that meaningful healing and growth arise from a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. I am honored to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life’s complexities, uncover insights, and move toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

Drawing upon psychodynamic psychotherapy frameworks, I offer a depth-oriented and comprehensive approach to addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, identity struggles, and the search for a cohesive sense of self. I also integrate evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, REBT, and Existential Therapy, tailoring each treatment plan to reflect the unique needs, histories, and aspirations of my clients. At the heart of my work is an unwavering respect for the individual and a commitment to exploring the patterns, relationships, and social contexts that shape their experiences.

Emotional pain is rarely simple, and together we will take the time to understand its many layers. We will explore how your relationships, communication patterns, and the expectations you’ve internalized from society may be affecting your emotional well-being. This process is not about judgment but about bringing clarity to areas of life that may feel confusing or overwhelming. With curiosity and compassion, we’ll work to challenge limiting beliefs, rewrite unhelpful narratives, and uncover pathways to healing. This journey can help you connect more deeply with your authentic self and discover new ways to move forward with resilience and hope.

A vital focus of our work will be the therapeutic relationship itself. This relationship provides a dynamic space to observe and understand relational patterns in real-time, offering invaluable insights that extend beyond the therapy room. By cultivating awareness and exploring new ways of relating, we can open pathways to richer, more fulfilling connections—with others and with yourself.

Before entering the field of counseling, I spent over a decade as an educator, mentor, and advocate, working closely with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic support. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of interpersonal dynamics and the resilience inherent in the human spirit. I have also presented at the Pennsylvania Counseling Association Conference on grief and loss, focusing on the unique challenges of miscarriage and the importance of compassionate support during these profoundly personal experiences.

I view therapy as both a privilege and a partnership. The courage it takes to begin this journey speaks to your strength and readiness for change. Together, we will navigate the complexities of your story with intention and care, exploring new perspectives and possibilities. My goal is to help you uncover pathways to healing, clarity, and a life imbued with purpose and meaning.

Bella Peduzzi

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it’s my goal to help you feel respected and create a safe environment for you to share whatever you need to during therapy. It is my intention to empower you, strengthen your individuality, help to strengthen your belief that you have great worth, and that you can overcome traumatic events and memories. We are more than the thoughts we have that we’re ashamed of, we’re more than the worst moments of our lives, much more than our mistakes, and in my practice, I respect the courage it takes to be vulnerable, honest, and open to new ways of thinking.

I work with adults on issues such as self-esteem, relationships, trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am trained as an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. EMDR is an alternative method to talk-therapy that has been proven to be effective in resolving Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Life can be messy; it’s okay to feel lost, stuck in a rut, or starting over. I appreciate the courage it takes to ask for help and invite someone into your fears and perceived flaws. If you would like to schedule an appointment or ask questions about therapy, please contact me. I’m honored to be invited to share in your healing process. Let change begin!

Christopher Giangarlo

Christopher has been a lifelong devotee of pop culture—a walking encyclopedia of movies, comics, and everything in between. He loves exploring how the stories that shape us reflect the times we live in, and he often draws on those shared cultural moments to connect with others in meaningful ways.

After graduating from Penn State in 2017, Christopher began his career in the mental health field with a genuine desire to help people feel seen and understood. Over the years, he has worked with a variety of populations, but he has found particular passion and purpose in supporting teens and adolescents as they navigate some of life’s most challenging and formative years.

Christopher understands that growing up isn’t always easy. He brings empathy, patience, and authenticity into the therapy room, meeting clients exactly where they are. His goal is to create a safe, supportive space where young people feel comfortable being themselves, building a strong therapeutic bond rooted in trust, respect, and real connection. His prior experience also includes working with clients struggling with addiction issues. The primary goal is to give every client the tools and support to live the life that they want.
